The building industry has long grappled with bold ambitions for transformation, yet all too often feels held back by outdated systems and slow-moving practices.

For me, that tension became deeply personal. In my career spanning roles across engineering, construction, design, and sustainability, what I saw time and again were teams brimming with potential, limited not by lack of ideas or ambition, but by the absence of the right support in those moments when they needed it most.

The pivotal moment came when I realised my own journey - a winding path of skill stacking and building integrated capabilities - was never really for myself. It was cultivation of the ability to dive into any situation, map out complexity, solve tricky problems, and help others succeed when the system itself wasn’t supporting them.

That realisation became the foundation for Verdian Group. I founded this practice with a simple belief: sustainability should be practical today and transformative for tomorrow.
